Dr Lynne Truong
(Principal Chiropractor)
B.App.Sc.(Clinical) & B.Chiro.Sc
(RMIT) I graduated
from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 1997. My
husband Michael and I opened Back in Balance
Chiropractic at the Swinger Hill Centre in 2002.
Since February 2007 we have relocated
our clinic to Pearce Shopping Centre. It has been
a fantastic move for our patients, being able to provide
them with a modern, larger, more practical clinic with a
multidisciplinary team, as well as a safe court yard for
the children to run around while parents or sibblings
get adjusted, and of course Deek's Gluten free Cafe has
been great to relax at before or after appointments.
When I was a child,
my parents took me to a Chiropractor
frequently for colds, flu and general health matters.
I just went along with it at the time. It wasn’t
until I severely sprained my ankle at 15 years of age
that I realised how truly amazing Chiropractic was.
After spending months and months at the Physiotherapist
with painful reoccurring sprains I
happened to mention to my Chiropractor
about my ankle. He said Lynne I can help you with that,
and after a series of adjustments to
my ankle, knee and spine, it
finally
healed.
I have a
family full of Chiropractors and after my ankle
experience becoming a Chiropractor seemed like a natural
progression.
I have two
little girls – Lucy (8yrs old) and Zoe (4yrs
old), both
had their first Chiropractic adjustments a few
hour after birth. They continue to this day to have
Chiropractic adjustments for their health and wellness.
I have
experience in manual adjusting, SOT, Activator
, Neuro Emotional Technique (NET),
Active Release Technique (ART), Retained Primitive Reflexes,
Soft
Tissue Technique and Pelvic
stabaliser orthotics.
I'm available Monday am, Wednesday,
Friday am and Saturday am.

Dr
Lindi Vanzwan
(Associate Chiropractor)
BChiroSc, MChiro (Macq), Dip Nat Nutrition (CNM, UK)
Chiropractic
has been part of my life since I was a young gymnast and
I hurt my back. Luckily for me my dad’s best friend is a
chiropractor and over the years I knew if I ever hurt
myself a trip to the chiropractor would get me back on
track again. It wasn’t until I started my Bachelor of
Chiropractic Science in Sydney that I truly learnt to
appreciate what chiropractic could do. This wasn’t just
something to correct an injury or symptom, the purpose
of chiropractic was to allow the nervous system to
function correctly. It was about wellness and reaching
your potential and full function.
After I
graduated I travelled over to the UK where I worked and
travelled for five years before my homesickness became
too much. I dragged my lovely boyfriend back with me and
we are now settled in Canberra, where I was born and
raised.
My
chiropractic experience includes working as an associate
for other chiropractors, locuming, running my own
practice and a 10 day mission to Vietnam to treat the
homeless, poor and sick. I have been to numerous
seminars including ones specific to pregnany, babies and
children, neurology and nutrition. I also completed a
Diploma of Naturopathic Nutrition whilst living in the
UK.
As a
chiropractor I like to treat each patient individually
and it is my job to find the tissues that are damaged
or not working, figure out why this has happened and
find a solution. I love to see the changes in people as
they start to function the way they should do again and
then to make the necessary changes to try to prevent the
problems returning.
As a
chiropractor I have always tried to practice what I
preach so I always try to approach my health and my life
wholistically. I keep fit and strong through running,
cycling, aerobics and weights. I also make sure to get
proper rest time and I maximise this through stretching,
reading and meditation. I eat a nutritious diet and
couple this with a good multi vitamin and various other
supplements that may be appropriate for me at that time
and I make sure to have fun and socialise. Of course, I
also get a regular chiropractic adjustment!
I am
available all day Tuesday, all day Thursday and Friday
afternoon.

Sue
Stewart
I have been
practising as a massage therapist for nearly 13 years.
After being in the publishing
industry for many years, my fascination with
people and what makes them tick drew me towards a one
year course in Shiatsu Ryo - an eastern method of
bodywork incorporating yoga, macrobiotic diet and
meditation. After completing that and still working
full-time I attended Naturecare College in Sydney to
study remedial massage and gained my Diploma in 1995.
I enjoyed full time mother hood in
1996 when my daughter
Georgia was born. I then returned
to the workforce to began my
career in massage therapy.
I have
qualifications in myofascial
release, sports massage, corrective exercise, lymphatic
drainage and pregnancy massage.
I have worked in a clinic environment, from my home and
also in the corporate arena doing seated massage, as
well as attending sports events and other volunteer
work.
I find that an holistic approach to my work is what
drives and motivates me aside from the satisfying aspect
of merely making someone feel a whole lot better after a
relaxing or remedial massage.
I am
available on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday. |
